Contact your company’s CSR team to volunteer (or just do it on your own!)
Many corporations and businesses have shifted their company processes to become more socially responsible. One way of doing this is by implementing a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program. These programs are amazing for many reasons. Perhaps the most obvious is the opportunity for employees to give back to their communities, locally or within their industries. However, such programs can also work to boost employee morale, which is of key importance in these tense times. Volunteering for a CSR program has multiple rewards and can pave the way for new opportunities in the workplace. Lastly, it can bolster brand recognition.
For some, volunteering is a way to help others, but there are many other benefits. From stress relief to increased skills, volunteering is an effective way to bring more value to your job and gives you the ability to engage with a community. Pre-2020 volunteering was very much a hands-on thing; however, since the pandemic began, volunteer roles have moved almost exclusively online for safety reasons.
If you are interested in volunteering but do not know where to start, one way would be to contact your company’s CSR representative, if your company has one. If there is no CSR department, you can always contact your company’s human resources department to get one started.

When companies provide flexible opportunities for donating time, everyone wins. Remember, there are many ways for you to get involved in volunteering, such as through volunteering apps and websites; going through your company’s CSR department is just one of them.
